Hiroshi Aramata (荒俣 宏, Aramata Hiroshi?, born July 12, 1947) is a popular author, translator, and screenplay writer in Japan. Born in Tokyo, he won the Nihon SF Taisho Award in 1987. His most popular novel was Teito Monogatari (Tale of the Capitol), which has sold over 3.5 million copies in Japan alone.
